In a 2026 NOW/Suzy consumer survey, 44% of supplement shoppers said they worry about quality and safety, and 35% said they don't know which brands to trust. That's a fair concern. The good news is that the label tells you a lot, if you know where to look. Here are five checks to run on any supplement, ours included.
1. Is there a full Supplement Facts panel?
Every ingredient should be listed with its amount per serving. If you can't see how much of each ingredient you're getting, you can't compare products or judge the value. Watch out for "proprietary blends" that list a total but hide the individual amounts.
2. Do the serving size and servings per container add up?
A bottle that looks like a good price can be a different story once you check the serving size. Look at how many capsules make one serving, and how many servings are in the bottle. That's how you find the real cost per day. For example, our NAD+ Complex is 2 capsules per serving, with 30 servings per bottle.
3. Are the other ingredients listed?
Below the active ingredients you'll find the "other ingredients": capsule material, fillers, flow agents. If you avoid certain ingredients or have sensitivities, this is the line to read. It should be short, plain and easy to understand.
4. Does it say where it's made?
A label that tells you the manufacturer's country is giving you one more piece of information to judge it by. Our product pages list the manufacturer's country as the USA for every product.
5. Is the wording honest?
In the US, supplement claims have to carry a standard statement: that they haven't been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and aren't intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Be cautious of anything that promises a cure, guarantees results, or sounds too good to be true. Honest brands tell you what an ingredient is, what it's studied for, and that experiences vary.
Bonus: what happens if it isn't right for you?
Look for a clear, fair return policy before you buy. Ours is a 30-day risk-free guarantee. On a single bottle, opened is fine. On multi-bottle orders, one bottle may be opened and the rest must be returned unopened, and refunds are issued once the bottles are received.
